Rebecca Guimarães: simply WOW! For scaling purposes, simply find a building near the pyramids and you'll realize they're the size of a boulder. Impressive sight! The largest block weights 70 tons (just imagine 12 adult elephants being put taken up a pyramid that was the highest man-made structure for thousands of years and up until recently...). Hard to imagine how the ancients accomplished this with such a precision! Defility worth the dozens of theories it inspires about its construction.Notice you can go inside for an extra cost, but please don't do it if you're claustrophobic! The space is very narrow, at some points you literally have to crawl. It's also super hot and the way out is the same way in, so you'll be bumping into a people who are returning in passageways that were clearly made for 1 person only.

Jon J.: 8/10 of the items are not identified, and the place is a mess and hard to navigate. It was worth it to see King Tut's Golden Mask and sarcophagi, you can easily take photos, just gotta be clever and patient. No photos is the only rule I don't respect anywhere, because it makes zero sense.If the GEM ever opens, I hope it is better organized and with each item identified.

Jon J.: No photo or video can ever prepare you for this. I suggest arriving at opening time, it was nice and breezy most of the time I was there, and I had a lot of spots all to myself.Do NOT enter through the Sphinx gate if you are a solo explorer like me, you'll walk a long uphill path in the sun and then it's over 3km to the panoramic spot without counting the time looking at the Pyramids since the smallest one is quite out of the way. I entered through the Khufu Pyramid gate and it was perfect, beat the hundreds of tour busses that arrived around 9.
Adam Van Zuabi: The pyramids are truly awe-inspiring, but there was one aspect that proved to be quite bothersome. When I rented a horse to capture panoramic pictures, the man initially asked for 20 euros. However, upon finishing, he requested additional tips and I gave him 100 Egyptian pounds. To my disbelief, he then insisted on 50 euros as tips. This was an unacceptable situation. Furthermore, there were individuals who would forcefully take pictures with you and then demand payment. Additionally, some locals would pressurize you into purchasing their products, resorting to insults if you declined.

Megan J: This is why we traveled to Egypt from America. Seeing the pyramids in person was incredible. We arrived early and did the additional inside pyramid tour. It’s really neat to think how these were built and when you look at how precise the blocks were placed you will definitely have questions!There’s a lot of people trying to sell you stuff around the pyramid complex and ask you for money so that gets annoying, but if you go with a group you will be a little better.Also if you have a professional camera make sure to leave it with your tour guide or a group member when you go inside the pyramid. There was a guy sitting outside the entrance and demanded everyone leave their expensive professional cameras with him as he wouldn’t allow them inside. Who was this guy? I have no clue. If you didn’t have your ticket when you got back then he would keep your camera. He also demanded money to retrieve your camera when you got back out. Big scam!

Kenddrick Chan: The Great Pyramid is a must-see if you are in Egypt. It is majestic and makes you wonder how it was even built thousands of years ago.You could get tickets at the entrance, which would allow you to access the general area or include entrance into the pyramid itself (depending on the type of ticket). However, I would advise against going inside the pyramid. The climb upwards can be challenging for some plus the fact that it can get quite crowded with limited air circulation inside means that anyone looking to go in should exercise due caution.

Whatsapp the management”…. Except they never reply and nobody really cares- extremely bureaucratic… governmental institution style… again, you only feel it when you have a problem..*just to emphasize on the above, my wife subscribed to the ladies gym, and when she started facing problems (they decide to suddenly clean a partition and you need to find some other exercises to do, not very hygienic, etc… she got bored that nobody cares to change anything… she stopped going and of course she has no option of refund, change to another branch, or actually anything feasible)The positive parts are- The amount of African immigrants they employ is amazing… they are giving them an opportunity and treating them very well- the men gym is extremely clean all the time, I face no issues regarding the hygiene- trainers are much nicer than the other branches- the gym is huge and full of equipment- the showers and changing rooms are well maintained- the people who go there are also decent and you don’t expect to have a fight with someone one day
