They converted it into a hotel, and it is a small apartment from the ground upAround the building, there is a coffee shop that occupies the street, called Zahrat al-Bustan, and a restaurant that grills meat in the street, and thick smoke.     Wael Elkon: My experience is extremely bad. I booked more than three days before coming. When I arrived at the hotel, I was surprised by the presence of a person waiting for me on the street. He informed me that my reservation was in a room on the fourth floor, and there was no elevator in the hotel. He would change the hotel to another place for the same person. I was surprised by the situation, but I walked with him. For more than 10 minutes walking, I was surprised by it informing me that the hotel is in a building on the ninth floor, and there is nothing indicating the existence of the hotel.     azores: Cozy, comfortable room in an old decrepit looking building 😂 if you ignore the facade and dont mind the 5 flight of stairs of old Cairo building that feels like 8 normal height storeys, you’ll enjoy this value for money place. Very hard to find especially at night. Thanks to someone random who posted the picture on here that I managed to find it! I walked in for a night because other hostels cancelled my bookings due to overbooking on Agoda. I went to this place and got a room for two at 300EGP/night cash. Will consider this place if Im back in Cairo.

    Min Cheng: The location is great. The higher floors had views to the Nile River. But check-in took more than an hour at 7pm. Their reason was that the rooms had not been cleaned yet. My room, #529, was in need of repairs. Many outlets did not work properly. There was no hair dryer in the room. Only half of the water would go up through shower head. The toilet leaked all night. Breakfast food was not fresh. The barley porridge had spoiled milk smell. The cut fruit tasted like it was the leftover from the previous day.I would not recommend this hotel.

Reclamos al hotel al día siguiente mostrándole las fotografías, por las condiciones en las que nos tienen y no les importa el cliente. Lo único que nos ofrecen es pagar más dinero (75€ por noche y habitación) para tener una habitación en condiciones. Después de haber pagado ya una gran cantidad de dinero a Soltour.Nos encontramos en la planta séptima en una habitación de los años sesenta, ruido insoportable a todas horas del tráfico, olor a tabaco en la habitación, ducha que no funciona, suciedad, moho, camas rotas, mucho frío, sin mantas … no son condiciones de tener alojados a los clientes en un Hotel Hilton.No recomiendo a nadie que se aloje en este hotel ni que reserve ningún viaje con la empresa Soltour.Es muy posible que se ponga enfermo durante su viaje por Egipto como nuestro caso, un crucero por el Nilo con estancia en El Cairo Hotel Ramses Hilton organizado por la empresa Soltour.No malgasten su dinero en este hotel, cuesta mucho esfuerzo ganarlo para luego terminar viendo situaciones desagradables durante sus vacaciones.Esto no son vacaciones!Actualizo cometario por la respuesta del hotel, no nos cambio el hotel por voluntad propia las habitaciones. Lack basic amenities like drinks in the room, Jaír dryer, no robes, no international programming (these are the amenities that make a hotel 5 star) Save yourself and do not stay here. The elevators literally SHAKE very heavily while going up, the carpet is stained and damaged everywhere, the people in the front desk are rude and condescending. We checked in at 4 am and asked for TWO nights thinking we would get charged for an early check in and the two nights we requested. They charged the early check in as a full night and did not tell us about it even when we asked the front desk to confirm that it was two nights, they just charged it. Worst hotel experience I’ve had in my whole life and I’ve traveled half of the world.

    Mahmoud Dok: 🤮Very bad place at all, very high price compering to others in dawn town, 7th floor usually the elevator doesn't work, not professional stuff taking advantage from you by selling trips, it's difficult to meet anyone because no space only some plastic seats, it's not even hostel it's rooftop, and the building isn't safe at all, a lot of cats every were, some noise from drunk guys. I don't recommend at all.Noteworthy details: Very bad place at all. 🤮

    Sam Johnson: Spent three nights here. 5 / 5 as far as local hotels go. Rooms were functional, the place was clean, and our room had a private bath which was nice. Lots of space to lounge on the rooftop, which was really nice, little oasis in the city to take a break from the chaos of Cairo. Breakfast is available and very affordable. Lots of conveniences too - they’ve got water and drinks to purchase for fair prices, and it’s close to a couple of decent local takeout places for easy meals. Would recommend.

    Amanda Johnson: we had a fantastic time here. The location is awesome for exploring the city. We loved the rooftop after a long day to lounge. The rooms were very basic but the beds were far more comfortable than they looked. The breakfast was very good and very affordable. There are lots of places to eat nearby.     Dr Diaa Gamal: A hotel in a lively place and close to everything. I highly recommend it. I thank the receptionist, Ms. Amani, in particular. She was a peak in sophistication, elegant dealings, and the speed of response for the convenience of the guests. As well as all the reception staff and all the staff are all excellent. Frankly, the location is very convenient in the center of the country, and the hotel workers are kind.     Nour Chartouni: The best thing about this hostel is it's location in the center of Cairo, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The staff there are university studenys who work there as a part time job, they are super polite and helpful. The rooms were as of April 2023 newly renovated. One thing that could be improved big time is the building's entrance as it is very old and the elevator is also scary a little tbh. But the owner's of the hostel are not the owners of the building so I guess they are not the ones to be blamed for that. All in all we stayed there for 6 days, we weren't annoyed not even one time. The breakfast is decent. They change bed covers every 2 days. They have a wifi, not the best connection, but serves the need. We suffered a little fromMosquitos at night, but the game us an anti-mosquitos to keep lit at night. Very good hostel given the reasonable/cheap price.

La chambre était très sale (tâches sur les murs, boule de cheveux et saleté dans la baignoire, traces de produits, moisissures au plafond, etc...) et n'était pas celle que nous avions commandée sur internet. Il n'y avait pas de chauffage et il faisait très froid. Les lumières ne s'étaignaient pas quand on appuyait sur l'interrupteur, on a dû dormir avec les lumières allumées...Un conseil pour tous les voyageurs, n'allez surtout pas là-bas ! Vous trouverez beaucoup mieux avec un tarif similaire et de meilleure qualité. Cet hôtel est dirigé par un menteur, les avis positifs sont truqués et les photos sont fausses. Une nuit a été bien suffisante pour nous faire changer d'hôtel.

Of course, this was the 4th place I’ve booked since arriving to Cairo so I have a good point of reference to compare.THE BADI’m thinking hard here, as I’m trying to be as fair as possible. OK, being next a high traffic road can be noisy if you want to sleep but nothing that can’t be solved sleeping with whitenoise sounds… if is an issue at all. Although Cairo doesn’t get as cold as New York City, it is quite chilly with the wind and since they’ve got the habit of leaving the lobby door open so one must always wear a jacket inside.THE BESTEvery single employee has delivered exceptional customer service! Not all speak English but great manners and warm, friendly disposition goes beyond language barriers. The breakfast is neatly served and for Vegans they’ve got us covered with options other than plain bread and tea! Allow yourself to hang out in the lobby and you’ll make a new friend or two, if you are a traveler that enjoy socializing you will find an array of interesting people if nothing a great talk before or after you’re done doing touristy stuff. The rooms are always kept clean, and the bed comfortable enough to fall sleep in seconds!HOT water!!! At all times. Even places classified as hotel, like the first one I stayed at Heliopolis, either the water never gets actually hot (which is critical because most properties in Cairo do not have heating system) or if it does it last for a very brief time making the experience painful… but not here. Another perk I didn’t knew until recently, is that normally they can exchange money for you, but it would also depend at what time of the day. If you need to take a tour within Egypt or travel to another country, they can also help you with that, they got all services covered and ALWAYS with a smile. They are very accommodating, I witnessed a couple that already checked out, asking for something to eat (outside breakfast hours) and they got them something to eat, you don’t see that anywhere. If I could give this amazing property 20 starts I would because they deserve that and more. Thank You for such a great time 🙏🏼 #Namastè

Приехал из Хургады на Go-bus, за 10 мин добрался до хостела пешком. Обеспечили позднее заселение. Персонал учел недостатки, указанные в предыдущих отзывах насчет туалета. Перегородку подняли до потолочного перекрытия и сделали вентиляцию. Если вы с собой прихватили беруши, маску для сна, гарнитуру для телефона и небольшой фонарик (опция телефона), то не вы никому и вам никто не доставит неудобства. Кровати достаточно большие, оборудованы индивидуальными подсветкой и розеткой. Плотные занавески обеспечивают достаточный комфорт. Завтрак отличный. Чай, кофе постоянно. Остался доволен своим выбором данного хостела. Уезжал в аэропорт на локальном басе, который отправляется с ближайшей автостанции, немного хватанул экстрима за 5,5 фунтов. Смело надо прибавлять на дорогу 2 часа для такого способа передвижения:)).

    Robert Träffe: TLDR, they pressured me to give 10 in score... I refuse and here is why.Person X greeted and checked me in, already here I felt something was off. X overcharged me so I complained but I eventually let it go, I was tired after delayed flights etc.X showed the room, gave me a bottle of water and showed me the minibar. I asked if all the water was free of charge and the response was: "Sure".The shower couldn't hold an even temperature, going from cold to hot and back making it difficult to shower in a pleasant way and on that note, this wasn't a real bathroom.There is a very busy street outside the window, constant car horns and what not and their window doesn't seal shut so it sounds like the traffic is inside the room.When I asked about tours I felt the owner tried to upsell me, so I found a much cheaper provider my self. The owner showed up later, or rather jump attacked me in the corridor, pressuring me to accept 'anything', such as a drink or change room etc..The woman working there is the only one that have a sense of service and very warm, thank you. And on that note, the laundry service was offered to be free by her.X was the one checking me out, and now the water wasn't free, neither was the laundry... I had planned my cash flow to have enough to a taxi to airport so this was a very unpleasant surprise.I was going to forgive and overlook all of this until person X tried to pressure me to give 10 in score for the review. So that is why this 'hotel' got seemingly high score I am afraid...
