David: Pretty good hostel with good communal area.

Reality Bites: Dorm beds all have individual privacy curtains, power and light. Breakfast is cheerfully prepared and served every morning, consisting of bread, egg, etc. Free tea and coffee 24/7. Opposite a mosque and a Coptic church next door to each other. Ubiquitous prayer call should limit your peaceful sleep as per usual. Couple of good eateries within 3 minute walk. Interesting lift will take you up if you don't like stairs. Staff friendly. As with anywhere in this country, only take pristine foreign currency, as apparently blemishes, aging notes are not exchangeable.

There are cheaper alternatives in Cairo but this one is still super affordable and very very nice.They have a PS4 and Netflix too if that suits your fancy.The staff are great. They always made us laugh, had great conversations and offered really good recommendations.The cleanliness is on point - no complaints.Breakfast was great too: bread, jam, cucumber, banana and a sort of cream cheese tomato thing (it was delicious). When looking for a place to stay, a tasty and nutritious breakfast is always a winning factor. Tea and coffee too.If you don’t mind paying slightly more, this is a great stay in Cairo.Love from Scotland!!! :)

Tuvimos que hacerlo en el mismo lobby.En general está bien calidad/precio (principalmente por su ubicación), pero estaría bien que cuidasen un poco más las habitaciones.

Andrew Tarnowski: First the good: people were extremely nice, easy going, no hustle at all, trying to help. Security 24/7 with someone in the reception all the time. Location was excellent – 10-12 min walk to the Egyptian Museum. Also – you are in the center of everything with all important stuff to do in Caro just a short distance away. Since this hostel is on a street closed to car traffic – it is relatively quiet for Cairo.Now for not so good: It is important to keep in mind that Holy Sheet is a hostel not a hotel. When I saw pictures of their private rooms on Internet – they looked very good. Reality of course was different. Maybe it was a mistake for middle-aged travelers like us, to book 5 nights there. The place offers plenty of dorms and only a few rooms with bathrooms. We stayed in one of the rooms with bathroom in it. When I say: bathroom in it – that is literally what it means – they carved part of the room to make a bathroom, with glass partition walls going 2/3 to the ceiling. Needless to say – you can hear everything the other person is doing there. Throughout our stay, no one entered the room to clean it, or at least empty the bathroom wastebasket. The room had technical issues. After the second night it was impossible to keep the window shut - and this meant noise throughout the night. The doors to the room required acrobatics to open, after unlocking. The bathroom – which was raised above the main floor of the room (I guess to accommodate pipes) was leaking water and bathroom, and the room, would benefit from additional shelving and hooks. In hindsight – probably excellent place for backpackers to sleep on a cheap in Cairo in a dorm room. If you are a middle-aged traveler – do not get your hopes high regarding their private rooms. Pay more and get a better room somewhere else – or better yet – stay in Giza – get a hotel with a view of the pyramids – this is how we stayed at the beginning of this trip, and commute to downtown Cairo as needed using Uber (100 Egyptian pounds each way). This has nothing to do with Holy Sheet Hostel, and everything to do wit the brutal pollution in downtown Cairo – where you have to fight for every breath. At least in Giza – wind from the desert blows the smog away – not to mention the view of the pyramids.

( I suggest at least some small kind of change should be available like different kinds of eggs).WiFi is very weak ( even signal for your phone gets weak) Some beds make noises when u sleep, while some sockets are loose and difficult to charge your phone. Julia Totino: I stayed for 5 night's at the Castle hotel and had a great time. It's the kind of place where solo travelers can meet other travelers, like the old backpacker days! Yes the elevator is scary but it plays a dua for your safety. 😁 The terrace is nice in the morning for breakfast. My only suggestion is to bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise (altho you get used to the sounds of Cairo). Fresh towels and more toilet paper for each room would be good too, but its normal at a hostel. Location is perfect for seeing the real, genuine Cairo. Lots of great places to eat and drink nearby. Helpful, friendly staff. See you again!

Dante Pereira Passaro: The location is a gem; you cannot be more centrally localized (right by Tahir Square). The staff is stellar and will go out of their way to make your stay as memorable and pleasant as possible.Don't let the outer façade fool you (nor the charming elevator ride); it's downtown Cairo so take it at face value.The rooms are clean and practical as well as the bathrooms (of which there are several).Piece of advice: book your trips with the hotel. There might be a a small markup than what you might find online but it makes sure your Egypt experience is hassle free. Key point to EVERYTHING in Egypt: always discuss the details so there's no unexpected costs.

However (as it seems to be the case in most hotels in Egypt), I wouldn’t recomend contracting any tours/activities through the hotel as they charge a big surplus. We found our desert tour 75 euros elsewhere, the owner assured us that the 125 euros he wanted to charge us was a very good price. This is after a long speech saying that for him money is not important and what is important is customer satisfaction, making friends and that nowadays he barely makes any money through tours/acrivity.

rob hollander: Clean, excellent location, well run, no bed bugs, strong hot water pressure for the showers. The manager is cosmopolitan, helpful, fluent in English, Arabic and Swedish as well. Committed to the success of his business, he clearly wants each guest to be happy. The young men he has hired to manage the desk 24/7 were all highly intelligent, personable, helpful, gracious, fluent in English, and a genuine pleasure to get to know. The housekeeper/cook is the sweetest person I met in Cairo, and that's high bar -- it's a city populated with warm, open, friendly people. I will remember the entire staff fondly. The rooftop is the great amenity -- broad view of the city and a lovely place to hang out, with a big guest fridge, kettle, and fully equipped kitchen for cooking. I stayed 19 nights in the dorm room (7 beds) meeting many extraordinary world travelers, making some good international friends. Wifi worked throughout the hotel-hostel including the rooftop and dormroom. There's a different cooked breakfast every morning, though there are also lots of restaurants to choose from nearby as well. Great place to stay overall, if you enjoy meeting friendly travelers in a comfortable environment. I'd be happy to stay there again.

We organize all of our tours with them with fare prices (compared with the internet) and they are were very flexible with our preferences (we have a east work schedule).The internet is regular, you can work but not have a video conference. But if you share internet with your phone is OK.Rooms: Very clean and comfortable beds.Walkability: You can walk everywhere!

They are also offering tours, if you will take any, ask for the name of the guide! Avoid the one named Sam, he told me, that there is not possible reach on your own the viewpoints of pyramides in Giza, that you need to do it on horse or camel...i worn him about my strong alergy of these animals, and if there is another chance, he told me that i can try to sneak around, but it is not alowed, and i can get in troubles with security there, so i took this expensive ride (with respect to local rules). After 5 minutes behind the entrance i couldnt breath by alergy, left the ride and realized that it was lie, you can easily walk all around...it is the most comon scam there and i should read it before, but this Sam put me in health danger with his lie...i hope, that the hotel will not more cooperate with this scammer as i told them this story.

The absolute best thing about this hostel were the staff. Everyone one of them were amazing, helpful and so accommodating. I am sad I can only give 5 stars for service. They deserve 100 stars!

The best asset of Cairo Hub Hostel is the private little rooms that they made in the dorm that is unique to this hostel, it literally gives you a mini private room. Also unique is the incredible view on Tahir square from the triple rooms, it’s crazy to have access to this at that price. Lots of backpackers and travellers from all around the world, it’s always buzzing with people in the shared areas, you’ll never feel alone there. Staff is super friendly and can help you with anything you need in Cairo (including legal and less legal) 5⭐️ youth hostel, highly recommend!

Elena Fernández: Pasamos dos noches en este céntrico hostel para rematar el viaje de dos semanas por Egipto, y no pudo ser más reconfortante. La localización inmejorable, el trato estupendo de Aiya nos hizo sentir como en casa. Todo limpísimo, y acogedor, nos dieron una habitación amplísima que tenía unas vistas inmejorables a la célebre plaza Tahrir. No tendremos duda en volver cuando pisemos de nuevo suelo egipcio. Millones de gracias por todo!!! Sois geniales!!

Я жила на 5 этаже, мне совершенно никто не мешал, большой отличный номер, балкончик, чистая ванная комната, свежее постельное белье и очень удобная кровать, что еще нужно путешественнику?В номере был тв и холодильник, тихий кондиционер. Завтраки были сытные и вкусные, а сам Каир - экзотичным и невероятно увлекательным городом.Если я приеду снова, я совершенно точно остановлюсь в этом же отеле.

Leandro Alem: Muy buena relación precio-calidad. Todo el staff te ayuda con cualquier inquietud. Se encuentra en un tercero piso (se puede subir por escalera o ascensor), se mantiene buena limpieza y posee habitaciones compartidas y privadas. La ubicación céntrica permite llegar rápido al Museo, metro, etc.
