Rana Badr: I honestly can't understand what happened to the real opera!! All parties began to start at least an hour late, and they kept letting people come in normally late. The one who is sitting trying to enjoy the show and merging with it, and suddenly you find five or six entering who want to run to reach their places, as the amount of two chapters of the truth makes one hate opera. At least the security forces are supposed to sit these people in any place until the intermission, but of course this does not happen! Other than that, of course, people are working to talk throughout the show, which they don't know how to shut them up or watch the show, and the security forces are sitting on their phones and not doing anything and leaving anyone who wants to do anything to do. Why is this low we have reached??!!!

Ewart Memorial Hall (commonly referred to as Ewart Hall) is a two-level hall, seating approximately 1,000 people (approx. 700 downstairs and 300 in the balcony.) It was designed by Ariston St. John Diamant.
The hall has many uses. It is the venue for concerts, lectures, talent shows, conferences, speeches, musical and dance performances as well as commencement ceremonies (the graduate commencement ceremony is held in Ewart Hall.) The AUC Student Union also screens movies there as part of its weekly movie series.
Ewart Hall has been used by the Cairene community as a cultural center to host public lectures, movies and cultural performances. The renowned Egyptian singer, Umm Kalthoum, gave one of her first performances here, in 1937. The ticket costs 150LE compared to ROOM art space for example which costs almost half for similar events.
salma haloda: The place is old and very nice. It has plenty of places Infront of it to park, which is a rare thing to find in downtown. The people there are very friendly and the atmosphere is pretty artistic. I was attending an authentic event, it was cool and enjoyable.
