The pyramid are not always illuminated at night. So don't always expect to see them at night... it's an egypt thing

Heinz-Günther Kampmann: Am 25.09.2008 flogen wir um 10:00 von Luxor nach Kairo und wurden vom Flughafen abgeholt und in das , gute , Le Meridien Pyramids gebracht . Das Hotel an sich ist sehr angenehm hat aber den Nachteil daß es direkt neben einem Verkehrsknotenpunkt liegt und es Tag und Nacht zu Lärmbehinderungen kommt . Zimmer war groß , sauber und gut eingerichtet . Ein weiteres Problem waren die , während des Ramadan , kurzen Öffnungszeiten des Pools . Wollte z.B. Abends gegen 17:00 nach einem ereignisreichen Tag im Pool relaxen ..... ging jedoch nicht mit dem Verweis auf Ramadan . In der Zeit als wir hier weilten gab es das Mövenpick mit dem sehr guten Bua Khao Thai-Restuarant in nur 5 Minuten Fussmarsch vom Le Meridien . Wir haben beide Abende hier gespeist und es war toll . Das Mövenpick gibt es an diesem Platz nicht mehr und das Bua Khao ist offensichtlich auch nun woanders in Kairo ( Street 100 , Maadi ) . Beide früher ( wie das Le Meridien Pyramids ) an der Cairo - Alexandria Desert Rd. Ausserhalb des Ramadan empfehlenwert .....

William Carpmael: Stayed here with kids in 2010 and was great as well as very affordable. In 2023 it seems to be ‘closed until further notice’ per brand Website which is a shame but Mena House us now also Marriott and is also more affordable than its previous brand Oberoi in 2010. Go to Mena House. Simple. Better in every way.

The food in the Italian restaurant was good.But in general, there were deficiencies in the services of the hotel.Overall it was good rooms were clean.
