AUC Bookstore: what do users think?
Carol El Hawary: I love this bookshop.
Andrey Gusev: Nice bookstore at AUC. Come with your passport.
أبراهيم: hype
yasmine mansour: Their numbers aren’t replying neither their website work properly!
Ian Harris: Nice store and grounds of you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Wander around the beautiful albeit not cheap books, mostly (all?) in English and covering a bit of everything. We were lucky and there was -20% or so on purchases, and you can pay with credit card.
Christian Schubert: I live in Cairo, and since 2018 this store had always stood out as one of the very (!) few interesting bookstores in Cairo. Not anymore. It has become quite boring, the staff seems unprofessional. Asking for the catalogue, for instance, is asking too much! Cannot recommend this place anymore, and I say this as a fan of AUC Press itself!
Abanoub Habeb: I liked it. Also it's a very good place if you're looking for Arabic learning books especially Egyptian Arabic.
Mohamed Gaber: a wonderful place 💜
Mohamed Kilany: It's calm and classy store. People are helpful and friendly. You can see feedback notes from people who read some books, which gives you an idea about what you expect from these books.
ABo*MoSTAfA: مكتبة قيمة
Ahmed Abdallah: It's nice place
Mohsen Saleh: For sure , when i access AUC campus, I feel myself at one of the great universities in the world here in Cairo. The view, the touch of beauty even the air have other flavor. I feel this nostalgia for staying there for ever. Hope that one day an opening for listeners access be available for the people like me who are not studying at AUC and wish to attend the lectures and events. In brief, I adore this place.
Khaled Hassan: It is very excellent and has a huge and different collection of books at different prices
Hadi Muss: A very cozy bookstore with lots of English books selections. The prices are quite standard and special here, if you want to buy books specifically on Egypt, Egyptology and more this is the right place. New niche novels from various author and various genre also available. A must visit bookstore!
Marie Frietman: Good bookshop with all kind of themes
Marie Julie Frietman: Good bookshop worth all kinds of themes
Christian Schoeberl: Well sortet book shop with an high quality levelled selection of books. Recommendable for students too :)
Amirul Sidiq: Bookstore is good

Al Kotob Khan Bookshop: what do users think?
Lara Aasem: Amazing bookstore and space with a great collection of Arabic translations of important works in social science and literature, as well as publications by their own publishing house.
Areen Iftikhar: Cute bookstore with mostly Arabic publications and a small English section. The management is very kind.
alaa aljomaa: Very nice library with a lot of books flavor, but the guy there tried to charge me five times over the price, I recommend the place but be careful
Luke: great bookstore, I've never tried the mini cafe, I see some negative reviews about it, but the bookstore itself is great and quaint and staff was friendly
سيد سلاوي١٠: very good
Nouran Osama: I used to enjoy this place to have some time for myself and study and the minimum was for 50 EGP now its for 100 EGP.The bathroom wasn't really good and I had to go to Espresso Lab to use the bathroom.
Dr.Weaam Taha: Great place
Fatma Waleed: I used to love this place. They had good iced tea or coffee and friendly staff. You could stay there for 50 egp minimum charge from their cafe. But now it's 100 egp minimum charge. Which honestly, for the vibe, uncomfortable seating area, and lack of charging ports, i think that's a bit much. I've seen better service from other places with way lower prices. They could be good as a bookstore but not as a place to stay and work/study
Waleed Fikry: A warm elegant place, marked in the heart and mind
Omar Atef: Lovely place as usual but, last visit, the beverages could get better in both quality & variety.
Ola Hamouda: Cozy book corner-store.
Keshk: One of the best bookshops in Maadi; calm, lots of books in different genres and languages ( mainly arabic and english ), there's even like a mini café to eat a snack or drink coffee/tea. I obviously recommend it.
Carol M: Used to love this place Id go there and work all day it is quite and calm.. they have a good collection of books as well but recently its been deserted.. maybe the price per hour has been raised up
Nehad Radi: Lovely place. Very quiet, perfect for working or studying. Drinks are good too.
Ahmed Elhagry: For all who love books and readingThat's the right placeGo ahead
fayza aboelghiet: Book prices are high, but the place is good
Mohamed Elkomy: جميل
Omar Khalifa: Nice quiet place to sit and study or read.
Mahmoud Abdelwahab: مكتبة راقية ودار نشر محترمة فى المعادى
mohamed adel: مكتبة للكتب الخارجية
Huda ALTmimi: In the library, you can find special publications that you don't find in other Cairo libraries. The library is beautiful and well-arranged, with a small cafe and a place to sit and read. The employee Khaled is at the top of taste and kindness.

Abdelzahers atelier ( book binding and book store )مكتبة عبد الظاهر: what do users think?
Mohamed H: Very nice and welcoming staff, respectful treatment, and implementation was carried out in a fast time with high quality. The idea of implementing the doctrine is excellent, and the ability to see the implementation is an important and professionally executed point. The notebooks and paper products available are of very nice quality and varietyIf I had a note on the place, I hope there would be more diverse leather products
Farah Ahmed: Incredible place
Frank L: Fairly expensive for locally produced Egyptian products, but it remains fantastic value by western standards. You can expect journals hand-bound in soft leather and gilded edges for $10-$12. The shop is quite nice in offering juice boxes to its guests. The shopping process is also very unhurried and the staff is very friendly. The shop offers free embossing, which is offers a glimpse of the craftsmanship that goes into these books.
Nicolas Baquié: Excellent craftsmanship, definitely worth a visit for unique handmade gifts from Cairo.
Vladislav B.: Super place
Ruth K Wilford: Beautiful selection of handmade leather notebooks. Custom inscription included with the purchase, done in about 5 minutes. You pay for the quality you get, but these make great gifts (to yourself or your loved ones).
Haisam Foaad: nice placeIt has some collections of books and other things of valuetourist
Cesar Ternieden: Great service! Gorgeous bindings! Killer prices
Noha Ezz: Absolutely wonderful and a must-go-to for everyone, Egyptians and non-Egyptians alike. My friend got me a notebook for my birthday a few years back and I spent months trying to know where she made it at and discovered Abdelzahers stamp on the back of the notebook just a while ago. I customize hard cover notebooks for my friends and family there and they always make the best and most unforgettable gifts of all time.
Tina I. Nunn: Leather binding, personalized notebooks, photo albums and elegant storage boxes, all beautifully hand made.
Wael Foda: Can cover and bind books in leather
Hany Mostafa: Excellent
paul weiss: This shop is magic
Saloua El Chimi: The notebooks are unique!
Sertaç Sehlikoglu: If you want a unique handmade notebook with any personalised note, this is your place. I was informed about it by a friend and visited there 4 times in 4 weeks. I got several beautiful gifts for loved ones and myself. Highly recommended
Alex D: Avoid at all cost!!!!If you want to be received by a staff who complains you take too much time to chose more than 10 items, barely acknowledges your presence and answers your polite questions with exasperation while ending up asking you to chose other items because the ones you picked are defective without offering to help....if you want all that then I recommend you set foot in this overrated shop, a counter-product of the extreme mediocrity of the offer available in Cairo.Positive reviews from tourists who wander around the souk without needing to order or buy anything.Sad for a place with such a location and potential.
KARIM saeed: Very good
Andrew Blum: We loved our experience here. The gentleman who customized our beautiful books was an artist and a perfectionist. He made many unique books for us, each with different inscriptions, layouts and designs. He was generous, and included us in the entire process. This is a phenomenal place for anybody looking for high-quality, sophisticated, custom gifts.
Jasmin Allousch: It has been 15 years since I first visited, but I still have the photobooks and the pencil case they made for me, and they are still going strong!
Shabbir Abbas (Agha): Great experience, they even inscribe the leather books
