Ahmed Oskar: بدأت قصة عزة فهمي مع المجوهرات عقب شرائها كتاب ألماني عن المجوهرات التقليدية في العصور الوسطى في أوروبا عام 1969. وكانت تنتوي بعد حصولها على شهادة البكالوريوس في هندسة الديكور أن تلتحق بكلية الآداب لتحصل على شهادة أخرى في قسم الفنون التطبيقية، ولكنها عدلت عن رأيها وقررت بدلًا من ذلك أن تخوض فترة تدريب في مجال تصميم المجوهرات. اشتغلت كمتدربة في مشغل الحاج سيد، أحد الجواهريين في سوق خان الخليلي القديم في القاهرة، حيث يقتنص الباعة المشغولات اليدوية والسلع التقليدية، حيث تعلمت على يد أفضل محترفي هذه الصنعة. وباتت المرأة الوحيدة التي تشتغل في الليالي في مشغل الحاج سيد، وانتقلت من عملية برد المعادن إلى تصميم المجوهرات. وعلى الرغم من أنها كانت من مصممات المجوهرات المعدودات في الشرق الأوسط، إلا أنها في بداية عملها بتصميم المجوهرات احتفظت بوظيفتها كرسامة للكتب التي تصدرها الحكومة المصرية حتى تتمكن من تمويل موهبتها من تصميم وتصنيع المجوهرات

Fernando Cavalcanti [Substitutes]: Very nice shop with beautiful, authentic and well made products. The Bedouin items are beautiful and intricately made. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Prices are shown on the items and are very reasonable given the quality of items. It was a pleasure not to be pressured to buy anything or to have to haggle for 15-20 minutes. We highly recommend if you want to buy authentic products.

D. C.: Lovely atmosphere on the second floor of an old Egyptian apartment filled with ethical and fair treasures. All items on sale are handmade and by Egyptian artisans & crafters. We bought many things from here but the most special was the rug we purchased for our apartment. It was a little too large and the owner told us not to worry and come back in an hour. He miraculously weaved it to the right size himself. Definitely a wonderful experience. Can’t recommend enough.

Dina AbdAllah: The treatment at maadi was perfect. The lady ordered for me the item I saw on the website and will check with her tomorrow.The store helper in Heliopolis though was unprofessional. She took a very long phone call managing something of her own business while I was waiting there with the items infront of me and had to wait till she finishes to ask my questions. She wasted my time and did not offer any help like trying to see if the item on the website is available or not and she denied they have it all together which turned to be wrong as was proved by the maadi store. I was quite disappointed that the treatment could vary as such in one of the high end brands.
