Siegfried B: One of Egypt’s finest museums. The Coptic Museum is a welcome source of tranquility in the busy capital. Just a metro ride away from the centre, the museum has an impressive collection of Coptic art. The collection includes wonderful late Roman and early christian works of art, impressive textiles and awesome manuscripts. The building with its gardens and annexes is a gem itself. Well worth a visit if you’re in Cairo.
Abdulrahman Qazzaz: The Coptic Museum is a museum in Coptic Cairo, Egypt with the largest collection of Coptic Christian artifacts in the world. It was founded by Marcus Simaika in 1908 to house Coptic antiquities. The museum traces the history of Egypt from its beginnings to the present day. It was erected on 8,000 square meter land offered by the Coptic Orthodox Church, under the guardianship of Pope Cyril V.The Coptic museum houses the world's most important examples of Coptic art and it was truly spectacular, the artifacts were breathtaking and the museum itself is very well-organized and everything was exhibited beautifully.I highly recommend checking out the museum whenever you’re in Coptic Cairo.

Museum of Islamic Art Cairo: what do users think?
Tarek Ghaith: The Museum of Islamic Art houses the largest and most amazing collection of Islamic antiquities in the world. The idea of collecting and displaying Islamic artifacts began in the year 1880 AD, from which the museum building was established and opened in 1903 AD during the reign of Khedive Abbas Helmy II.The museum was damaged as a result of the bombing of the Cairo Security Directorate building in 2014 AD, and it was renovated and opened in 2017 AD. It consists of two floors and the museum includes the largest collection of pieces from different parts of the Islamic world, which allows the visitor to wander through all periods of Islamic history, as its topics varied from astronomy, medicine, architecture, etc., and the materials of its manufacture varied from finely carved woodwork, elaborately decorated ceramic pieces and highly decorated manuscripts. rarity. Among the most important treasures of the museum is the key to the Kaaba from the Mamluk era and a piece of textile bearing the oldest Kufic writing.

AHMED ZX GAMES: masterpieces
Beautiful
Matt G: The house is very nice as are the collections from around the world. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't great because the ticket seller asked for a 10 pound tip because I got a student/teacher discounted ticket and was then forced getting the guide. When we said that we wanted to go alone he said he had to come to turn on the lights. He then continued to give a full tour despite our request. It was a frustrating experience. Pictured here is the guide waiting to take people around. Btw, he is nice and informative but at times he would whisper information to me and not my girlfriend (such as Gayer Anderson bring gay), which seemed odd. Again, we just wanted to enjoy the place on our own.

Greg slater: One of my favourite museums although is looking a little tired and dated - a reflection of the gradual relocation of most of the collection being moved to the GRAND museum - viewable whenever that opens.I find the best parts of the Cairo museum are where the majority of the visitors pass by. The displays of ordinary, everyday items tell a lot about the lives of the ordinary people. To get the best from this museum, get a good guide and take your time. There is more to Egyptian history than Tutankhamun's tomb contents ( do see them) but take time in some of the quieter parts.
A magical place that contains many distinctive Pharaonic monuments
Ahmed Eleawa: El moseo egipcio NO SE NECESITA DEFINICIÓN ES TAN BELLO ❤
Jon J.: 8/10 of the items are not identified, and the place is a mess and hard to navigate. It was worth it to see King Tut's Golden Mask and sarcophagi, you can easily take photos, just gotta be clever and patient. Dmitry Epifanov: So sorry I have to give just 1 star to a museum in the city of Cairo, which I love so much. This is my case: I have carefully planned every hour of my short holiday and checked and double checked in advance, on site. After the Khalil museum visit (lovely, highly recommended) I specially asked, while it was 14:30, Mahmoud Mukhtar museum staff by the entrance, if they are indeed open until 17:00, as displayed on the website and google maps. Moreover I asked if it is OK to come at 16:00 on the dot, to have just under an hour before closure for this museum visit. Mahmoud Mukhtar Museum staff replied yes sure, do come at 16:00 today, you will have an hour, enough time! My wife and I specially came in good time, at 15:50. The museum gate was closed and the security said all staff had left and locked the museum. For us, since our departure flight is Saturday and Friday is a day off for all museums, that means never seeing this culture highlight. May I express my deepest dissatisfaction with the extremely unprofessional attitude of museum staff. I go along with the comment from Nick B of 28 February 2022: it appears that this museum's staff have no consideration for the visitors, depriving them of an important part of Egyptian culture, simply because at no notice museum staff suddenly decided to have a shorter working day. My greatest and most negative culture shock ever.
