He recommended us trusted locations to visit (His cousin’s famous silver shop is a must). Make sure to stop by it’s a special place.

Fernando Cavalcanti [Substitutes]: Very nice shop with beautiful, authentic and well made products. The Bedouin items are beautiful and intricately made. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Prices are shown on the items and are very reasonable given the quality of items. It was a pleasure not to be pressured to buy anything or to have to haggle for 15-20 minutes. We highly recommend if you want to buy authentic products.

D. C.: Lovely atmosphere on the second floor of an old Egyptian apartment filled with ethical and fair treasures. All items on sale are handmade and by Egyptian artisans & crafters. We bought many things from here but the most special was the rug we purchased for our apartment. It was a little too large and the owner told us not to worry and come back in an hour. He miraculously weaved it to the right size himself. Definitely a wonderful experience. Can’t recommend enough.

Jessica Egarin: A must-see place in the heart of old Cairo! The cab dropped us on the other side of the street. Crossing the road is not an option unless one wants to die! There is an underground passage to safely cross the street and get to the Souk. Please choose that option if it happens to you. Once in the bazaar, we were overwhelmed with scents of spices, incense, fresh mint tea… There are so many treasures to find there! Just go and play it by ear, let the narrow streets lead you wherever they may take you :)Have some cash with you as shops don’t always accept credit cards and when they do, they add an extra 10% to the bill.

Rebecca Guimarães: It's like you're in a movie - finding your way through tight streets, surrounded by pretty objects and dealing with sellers of all kinds. You'll find a lot of the same, but a few shops have unique items. There are also plenty of shops on the upper floor! Just find the hidden stairway...There's a seller who said I "should smile"; whereas another smiled at me and welcomed me to his shop - this is where I chose to purchase something. You can always negotiate, but remember if you're a tourist that perhaps you're at a better financial position in life than these people, so always be nice and respectful towards other people's work.Also please bring something to feed the street cats :)

Greg slater: One of my favourite museums although is looking a little tired and dated - a reflection of the gradual relocation of most of the collection being moved to the GRAND museum - viewable whenever that opens.I find the best parts of the Cairo museum are where the majority of the visitors pass by. The displays of ordinary, everyday items tell a lot about the lives of the ordinary people.To get the best from this museum, get a good guide and take your time. There is more to Egyptian history than Tutankhamun's tomb contents ( do see them) but take time in some of the quieter parts.

Евгений Я: Я поражён Каиром. Город контрастов, блеск и нищета. Огромный и очень грязный город. Большая помойка на 470 кв.км. Мы проехали полгорода, и полгорода просто какое-то гетто, где люди живут в полуразрушенных домах. Везде мусор и грязь, даже на таких мировых памятниках, как пирамиды Гизы. Хотя сами пирамиды, и Сфинкс, конечно великолепны, если не считать вымогательство денег всеми типами, работающими и просто крутящимися возле пирамид. Но оно и неудивительно, Египет нищая страна с огромными возможностями, впрочем как и Россия... Еще удивило то, что в таком двадцатимиллионном городе очень мало светофоров, гид сказал, что на весь мегаполис их всего семь, из которых три не работают. Все сигналят, никто никому дорогу не уступает, здесь нет понятия главная и второстепенная дорога, кто смог влезть, тот и прав. Полная анархия. Пешеходных переходов нет от слова совсем, люди просто перебегают дорогу в любом месте, где им вздумается. Машин очень много, ездят как хотят, дорожных знаков тоже практически нет, в общем я в шоке.

Jon J.: No photo or video can ever prepare you for this. I suggest arriving at opening time, it was nice and breezy most of the time I was there, and I had a lot of spots all to myself.Do NOT enter through the Sphinx gate if you are a solo explorer like me, you'll walk a long uphill path in the sun and then it's over 3km to the panoramic spot without counting the time looking at the Pyramids since the smallest one is quite out of the way. I entered through the Khufu Pyramid gate and it was perfect, beat the hundreds of tour busses that arrived around 9.
Adam Van Zuabi: The pyramids are truly awe-inspiring, but there was one aspect that proved to be quite bothersome. When I rented a horse to capture panoramic pictures, the man initially asked for 20 euros. However, upon finishing, he requested additional tips and I gave him 100 Egyptian pounds. To my disbelief, he then insisted on 50 euros as tips. This was an unacceptable situation. Furthermore, there were individuals who would forcefully take pictures with you and then demand payment. Additionally, some locals would pressurize you into purchasing their products, resorting to insults if you declined.

Bar Richter: Incredible to see the pyramids after hearing about them my whole life. Very expensive though. Make sure to ask for government prices so you don’t get cheated since the entry fee doesn’t include a camel/horse and a guide

Megan J: This is why we traveled to Egypt from America. Seeing the pyramids in person was incredible. We arrived early and did the additional inside pyramid tour. It’s really neat to think how these were built and when you look at how precise the blocks were placed you will definitely have questions!There’s a lot of people trying to sell you stuff around the pyramid complex and ask you for money so that gets annoying, but if you go with a group you will be a little better.Also if you have a professional camera make sure to leave it with your tour guide or a group member when you go inside the pyramid. There was a guy sitting outside the entrance and demanded everyone leave their expensive professional cameras with him as he wouldn’t allow them inside. Who was this guy? I have no clue. If you didn’t have your ticket when you got back then he would keep your camera. He also demanded money to retrieve your camera when you got back out. Big scam!

Kenddrick Chan: The Great Pyramid is a must-see if you are in Egypt. It is majestic and makes you wonder how it was even built thousands of years ago.You could get tickets at the entrance, which would allow you to access the general area or include entrance into the pyramid itself (depending on the type of ticket). However, I would advise against going inside the pyramid. The climb upwards can be challenging for some plus the fact that it can get quite crowded with limited air circulation inside means that anyone looking to go in should exercise due caution.
Detwailer / Peña's son: Vista de este ángulo está bien la verdad la pirámide pero me quedo con Montserrat. La verdad es que allí arriba hay un bar aunque están a 4€ la cerveza pero me mola más el rollo.
