John Iscandarian: Sure enough this is not a big name among markets, nor does its management seem to care about being a 5-star market. Lots of shortcomings bring it down to a 4-star rating, such as dust, slow service, some products seem old (deodorants, soap, plastic cups, toothpaste).Too bad because it's location is ideal, on Farid Semeka Street, along the fence of the Military Academy, on the sunny side of the street.Staff seems uninterested in providing quick service, making the shopping experience unpleasant.

John Iskanderyan: Bassem (in Arabic = the smiler) is a cute market in a crowded street. I just can't imagine this area without such a supermarket and it's obvious that the owner carefully selected this spot for doing business). There's a lot in favor of this place being rated 5 stars: It offers good prices, fast service, free delivery, wide range of goods, and honest help. It's a mix you rarely find nowadays. The free delivery service is a bonus and rarely found nowadays.
