Robert Skinner: Beware- appalling Experience-I do not do negative reviews unless it is absolutely necessary (this is my second bad review in 20 + years of travelling)-I'm also an avid golfer of 25 years who knows equipment in and out.This one star review is especially for Mohamed (operations manager) who demonstrated appalling customer service.Here is what happened:-my wife rented clubs. I had my own.-the clubs my wife rented were very, very old, used and no-names (no problem)-the putter was ancient (maybe 30 years old-still, no worries to us)-the rental clubs had clearly been used, and bruised and battered for years-my wife dropped the putter on the grass beside the green so she could chip-The head broke off the putter due to it being ancient, poor quality, and very used. It must have been hanging on by a thread when we got it.-my wife didn't have a putter for half the round (still, no problem to us)-at the end of the round we went and explained to Mohamed what happened-he started getting very aggressive-he told us there was no way that could happen with a steel club. Well-it did happen. What else can we say at this point?-I was in absolute shock at his reaction (especially due to the fact the putter was so old, used, and poor quality. I expected him to be apologizing for the poor quality of his rental clubs)-My wife is not one for slamming clubs.-Mohamed implied to us we were lying-he was basically shouting at us and accusing us of breaking it-I told him we would be giving him a terrible review and he shouted "that is up to you, go ahead," and did not seem to care-I emailed the general manager to see if they could at least offer an apology so I didn't have to write this review but there was no reply email; so looks like he doesn't see an issue with this either-I was going to golf 4 more rounds at this course, go to the range, and give a positive review. Due to this disgraceful incident I did not go back and instead went to allegria and new Giza which had amazing customer service, cheaper and absolutely beautiful courses. Just hop in a short Uber.-this course will also be losing my word of mouthIn Mohamed's linked in he claims to have communication skills and works well with customer service. That was clearly not my experience.My recommendation to the golf course is:-get new rental clubs that are up to dateAnd/or-have a waiver form for your rental clubs that clearly states what you expect if a club breaks in a customers possession.-get Mohamed some customer service coachingI hope for this golf course that management can get their act together because the grounds of the course are beautiful.

Thomas Carrier: My go-to course. Great staff, training facilities and course lay-out. Got a 6-month membership for 6000LE. One of the downsides is the never-ending weddings happening on weekends. Makes for an entertaining 18 holes.

MASA Y: ウーバーで連れて行かれた場所は、旧クラブハウスらしく、グーグルマップに出ておらず、非常に迷惑なコースだった。綺麗なフェアウエだが、キャディーも素人のオヤジで、全く話にならない。ランチもパスタは時間かかるから出せないなど、あり得ない。

Henry Neoman: Great staff and very nice greens (5 stars for that). However ...I am surprised that Greg Norman (designer) who is Australian with desert experience elevates the fairways above the sides and put too many unnecessary artificial angulations in the fairways in a desert country like Egypt with hardly no rain!! the elevated fairways dry very fast making them as hard as rock and unplayable. Furthermore the fairway grass is cut to 1/4" (5 mm) at best giving the whole course a very tight lie with no rough to speak of. As a 5 handicapper the fairways were hardly playable; can't imagine average golfers! my suggestion to the greenkeepers is to let the fairway grow to 2 cm and the rough to 5 cm. Mr. Norman clearly has a great "Shark" brand but not sure about this design!!

Gordon Stein: A great course on the northern outskirts of Cairo. Very well manicured course. Fairways and greens alike are in great condition. Quite challenging in places, but a fantastic 18 holes. Good clubhouse and a fairly average pro-shop, but everything you probably need. Green fees are very reasonable - and compare favourably to other courses in the area, even those less well maintained. The course is a Troon venue, and so you can also benefit from being able to book tee times (as a non member) through the Troon App.
