Il faut lever la tête c'est au 1er étage ! chercher le magasin de jus d'orange au rdc,l'immeuble est classée, l'escalier et l'ascenseur typiques.Un lieu de passage obligatoire pour faire votre shopping avant de rentrer. We had such a nice shopping experience including fresh juice and 1:1 consultation on the origins of all the beautiful pieces, cannot recommend it highly enough!!
Lena Katende: Literally bumped into this hidden gem while looking for a grocery shop on the last day in Cairo. Conveniently close to Tahrir square. Crammed full of high quality artisan products from all over Egypt, you are sure to find some treasures to take home. I did! So, enjoy the Hibiscus welcome drink and happy shopping.

Inès Berber: Be careful the shop is hard to find if you don’t exactly know where it is (first floor just above the fruits juices shop) but it worths it!! You had a good time and find a lot of beautiful artisanal souvenirs from Egypt, at a reasonable price. They speak English and even good French.

Little Cub: Lovely handicrafts from all over Egypt. Fixed prices and very calm shopping environment if you’ve had enough of haggling! On the first floor (not obvious to find from street level).

They've got everything from books to scarfs, bags and mugs, and more. This is not a tat shop, but a shop that supports artisans. Prices are fixed so no haggling. Friendly staff.

You could take your time to browse and select the gifts and souvenirs without the stress to negotiate prices like you would do almost everywhere in the country. The selection is diverse and you can't beat their prices for what you get. 10/10PS say hi to the cat at the door. it didn't move an inch when we entered the shop.

Barbara Evans: Update: original below. Out of the blue, I saw a discount from Kiliim for the amount that I had mentioned having to spend on the cushion inserts. I am very impressed by this and have changed my star rating from 2 to 5. I am excited to tell my friends about them but will certainly mention that they are paying for cushions only!_____________Be aware if you are ordering outside of Egypt! Nowhere on their website did it say that they were just shipping just the covers (it very clearly stated "cushions"), but that's all I got. I emailed them and let them know that I had expected what they had stated on their site and they shipped me the cheapest worst Ikea cushion filler, in all the wrong sizes. I asked for the them to fix the problem yet again, and they asked me to do the work to return the Ikea filler to Ikea at which time they would discount my order for the amount of the ill-fitting Ikea filler (barely anything). I turned around and had to spend almost the same I spent on the cushions for cushion inserts of quality, and am out a lot of money!

Alex Drukpa.: El Ataba is a MASSIVE market and where the locals shop. I just love it there. Wide variety of goods with good quality and cheap prices. It is highly crowded though. If you go there just please take care of your belongings. If you are looking for the bazaar feel and the small bargain chats it is perfect. But do keep in mind that you are going to get overcharged on small purchases. Basically everything you would need , you will find it there with a multi shops for the same products and reasonable prices for a huge varsity of products so take a day off and go early to have enough time to check the stores.

I was first overwhelmed by the noise, chaos and shouting (all tourism markets are harmless compared to that) and then asked around, was directed to and then spent hours in the fabric section (Tarpea area, El ashar Street) scouting approximately 200+ stands/stores for the right yellow fabric I wanted for my tailor made suits.If you aren't into exploring AUTHENTIC Egypt, go to the Khan el-Khalili market which is the super touristy market housed in a beautiful and historic part of town if you're looking for that vibe.My highlight was meeting fabric trader Shorouktex. He had no business with me (only doing whole rolls, not by the meter) but invited me to join dinner with staff and family even registered his Instagram account just to stay in contact after meeting me...Every category of goods is sold in different streets, alleys and buildings you need to ask around as there's no directory or other way to know. I'm sure I've only seen 15% of El Ataba in the 5 hours I spent here!
