Dr. Dalia has been working in the field of speech and language pathology for more than twenty-two years. She is a Professor of Phoniatrics at Otolaryngology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. She holds a Bachelor degree of Medicine & Surgery with an Honor Degree, a Master Degree of Phoniatrics (November 1997), and a Medical Doctorate in Phoniatrics (May 2002).

Dr. Dalia has been awarded Certificate of Clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA CCC-SLP), USA. She is a member of Hanen Program, Canada, and a member of Arab Network of Autism. Dr. Dalia is the founder & the professional director of the Speech and Language Clinic (SLC) where she provides professional development and parent training courses in addition to bilingual (Arabic & English) clinical services for children and adults having communication disorders including, but not limited to: speech, language, voice, oral motor, swallowing and language-based learning difficulties. In addition, she provides outreach consultation services, workshops, and courses to parents, teachers, and professionals working in the fields of special needs, special education and communication disorders.

In 2014, Dr. Dalia was granted the Award of Continuing Education from the Continuing Education Board of the American-Speech-Language Hearing Association.
