NYALA WALKER: 5 FOOD! 3 SERVICE! Authentic Thai Cuisine! The SOUPS may have been my favorite part. The Tom Kha Coconut soup and Tom Yam Spicy shrimp were delicious and took me back to Thailand. ALL Dishes were plated and presented well and tasted DELICIOUS! We also ordered wine, spicy beef salad, spring rolls, and two entrees! My only issue was that they did not recommend the ‘Tasting Menu’ to my partner and I after seeing us order several courses! It would have been more cost effective and we would have gotten a chance to try more dishes. I couldn’t tell if it was the language barrier, racism or simple oversight on the part of our server. (We are Ghanaian, When I asked ‘why?’ no one could explain, yet it was offered to a table next door to ours) Overall GOOD experience. Just wish this restaurant was overlooking the NILE like their Italian one.
Gventures: The best Thai restaurant in Cairo! I love Thai food. I have been to Thailand, and I used to work at a Thai owned and operated restaurant in the US, so I know what the food should taste like. They do a fantastic job here! I have been several times now (living in Cairo 1.5 years, tried all the Thai spots in Cairo, this one is the best, and I will be back again). Overall, it's a high-end restaurant located in a hotel building with a quiet atmosphere. The waiters are funny, the food tastes good but it's a little salty. The main dishes are slow to arrive, but the snacks are very good. They have wine, which is perfect for three or five friends to order a little food and slowly enjoy their drinks. It's a comfortable experience. Each of us ordered a main course and some small plates, but we couldn't finish everything. We didn't order wine, and the total cost was just over $20 per person.

P J: Awesome Turkish food. The starters were fantastic, mains brilliant and dessert was heavenly. The fresh mango juice was so good with bits, I could have had another glass. Overall, the place was divide, worth a try if you are in the neighbourhood. We ordered Hünkârbeğendi for the main and hunkar begendi dessert. The bread is divine, service is excellent and so is the ambience.

On the 2nd night we tried this restaurant and loved it so much we couldn’t imagine going anywhere else the following night. The plates were gorgeous, the restaurant was gorgeous. They brought jasmine water to the table to wash our hands before the meal. The wine was lovely. Everything we ate was delicious. The staff was so friendly, warm and helpful with the unfamiliar things on the menu. Just. So. Amazing. Get the Doner Tas Kebab. 🤤 It’s been 3 weeks and we’re still talking about that meal.

Mohammad Mourad: Went there with high expectations, was certainly disappointed. Food was average at best. We ordered the Duck Risotto, was so dry and lacking taste, lasagna was not on the menu but they said it is one of their best dishes, was really below average in taste and you can get much better in much cheaper places, very thin and not cooked well. The breaded veal was good but again very average. All in all not worth the hype or the price tag. The one attraction there for some people is alcohol which was over priced. Also we felt uncomfortable with so many people smoking around us while we ate (indoors) but seems like that is the norm there (and in most places in egypt), to be honest I expected much better.The staff members were ok but again can be more attentive to listen and care about what their costumers want. We had to ask twice for a plate to eat!For me, two starts at most.

Martin Hills: The Filipina staff in this restaurant really made this a delightful evening meal.The main restaurant was full but as we were a party of 8, they put us in a private room at the end of the restaurant.Having lived in Hong Kong for over 30 years, my expectations of Chinese food overseas is quite low. I was impressed with the dishes we had here though and the additional small things the chef and staff did.The restaurant is very tastefully decorated.Well worth a visit.

Scott Latimer: Visited 8 twice on our 10 day visit to Egypt. Great respite from the traditional Egyptian fare. Everything was excellent and the staff was so gracious and kind. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful. Especially liked the hot and sour soup with shrimp rather than tofu. Great value especially the noodle dishes which are enough to share.

Steaming hot.incredible mango / coconut water mocktail. Asked to leave out the chilli.Ordered 1/2 Peiking Duck - served 2 ways. Now, I lived in China for 25 years and have had a lot of duck…. This one was just ok.First course of Pancakes were nice, duck was well cut and presented nicely. Tender meat, but a bit fatty.The Sang Choi Bao was the bigger problem - very oily - I’m not sure if it was the duck or cooking oil, but the bottom of the dish was swimming in oil. Lettuce was also still very wet. Had to turn it over to get rid of the excess water.I very nicely asked the manager to show the dish to the chef. They comped me a lovely fruit platter and sorbet.I’m happy to pay for an expensive meal, but I expect the quality to meet the price.I’m afraid I would not order the duck again….
