It is considered a hospital to refer millions of patients who flock annually from all over the country to receive treatment at Kasr Al-Ainy. It currently treats up to two million patients annually and employs about 3,000 doctors and 11,000 employees. Originally a university hospital, Kasr Al-Ainy developed into a center for the education and training of physicians, as well as gaining a strong reputation for advanced scientific research. In 2014, it trained 5,710 Egyptian undergraduate students, 8,219 graduate students, and 3,588 PhD students.

Hassanein: مع اشتداد ساعد الحركة الوطنية المصرية فى أوائل هذا القرن انبرت نخبة من قادة العمل الوطنى ورواد حركة التنوير والفكر الاجتماعى فى مصر أمثال محمد عبده، ومصطفى كامل، ومحمد فريد، وقاسم أمين، وسعد زغلول، لتحقيق حلم طالما داعب خيال أبناء هذا الوطن، وهو إنشاء جامعة تنهض بالبلاد فى شتى مناحى الحياة، وتكون منارة للفكر الحر وأساسا للنهضة العلمية وجسرا يصل البلاد بمنابع العلم الحديث، وبوتقة تعد فيها الكوادر اللازمة فى كافة التخصصات لمشاركة العالم فى تقدمه العلمى ولكن هذه الأمنية وجدت معارضة شديدة من جانب سلطات الاحتلال البريطانى خاصة من عميدها اللورد كرومر الذى أدرك أن إنشاء جامعة فى مصر يعنى إيجاد طبقة مثقفة من المصريين تدرك أن الاستقلال ليس مجرد تحرير الأرض، وإنما هو تحرير الشخصية المصرية وانطلاقا بها فى مراقى المدينة والحضارة، وعلى الرغم من ذلك فإن هذه المعارضة لم تفت فى عضد المتحمسين للفكرة، فسرعان ما أخذ بزمام المسألة لجنة من الوطنيين الذى بذلوا التضحيات وتحملوا المشاق حتى خرجت الفكرة إلى النور وأصبحت واقعا ملموسا، وتم افتتاح الجامعة المصرية كجامعة أهلية فى الحادى العشرين من ديسمبر 1908 فى حفل مهيب أقيم بقاعة مجلس شورى القوانين حضره الخديوى عباس الثانى وبعض رجالات الدولة وأعيانها.وفى مساء يوم الافتتاح بدأت الدراسة فى الجامعة على هيئة محاضرات، ولما لم يكن قد خصص لها مقر دائم وقتذاك فقد كانت المحاضرات تلقى فى قاعات متفرقة كان يعلن عنها فى الصحف اليومية كقاعة مجلس شورى القوانين، ونادى المدارس العليا، ودار الجريدة حتى اتخذت الجامعة لها مكانا فى سراى الخواجة نستور جناكليس الذى تشغله الجامعة الأمريكية حاليا.

The attending physician did not follow up the case for several consecutive days until a major setback occurred that led to death. I filed a complaint with the medical director, who defended the doctor despite knowing of his negligence.

Safa ahmed: متصدقش انها المستشفى اللى بتقدم طب فى مصر وحاول متروحش باهلك فيها وخصوصا لو كانوا كبار فى السن لأنهم مش هيعالجوهم والاسوا هيضروهم بجهل وقله انسانيه واهمال ومضاعفات مش مفهومه ومشهتخرج بيهم عايشينانا وديت والدتى فايقه وخلال 48 ساعه دخلوها فى غيبوبه ورغم انى قولتلهم ان الامونيا كانت عاليه عندها من فتره واتعالجت بره وطلبت يعيدواالتحاليل ويعالجوها ؛ اتفاجئت ان التحليل متعملش ليها لمده 8 ايام كامله ومتعالجتش من تسمم الامونياو وبدل علاجها الواضح المباشرادوها ادويه سيوله مع ان تحليلها لا تسمح ودخلوها فى نزيف و مضاعفات معقده لدرجه انى معرفتش انقلها مستشفى تانيه لحد ما راحت منىتم تقديم شكوى بالواقعه لوزاره الصحه عن طريق شكاوى الحكومه الالكترونيه وشايفه ناس كتير فى الreview هنا بتقول تقريبا نفس الأحداث حصلت مع أهلهم فياريت كله يقدم شكوى عشان يبقى فيه امل انهم ياخدوا جزاءهم
