4worldlovers: Wadi Degla is one of the important valleys which extend from east to west with a length of 30 km. It passes through the limestone rocks that had remained in the marine environment during the Eocene Epoch in the eastern desert ( 60 million years ). Therefore , it is rich with fossils . The height of these rocks alongside the valley is around 50 m. A group of valleys flew into this valley. The valley has a group of animals including mammals like dear , taital , mountain rabits , red fox , feather tailed rat , oviparous , barbed rat, little tailed bat and others. Among the insects there are and many others. 18 species of reptiles have been recorded . The rain water dropping from the waterfalls affected the limestone rocks along the years and formed the so called canyon Degla, which resembles the Grand Canyon in the U.S .

Tarek Ghaith: Al-Azhar Park is one of the largest parks in Greater Cairo and one of the largest and most beautiful parks in the world. It is located on an area of 80 acres that was used in the past as a stable for police cavalry. The project was announced in 1984 and opened to visitors in 2005, as it took more than 7 years to build at a total cost of more than 100 million pounds.

Pommes_ Gamer: Ich war mit einem Reiseführer dort, und die Geschichte/antike Architektur hat mich echt fasziniert. Jedoch ist meiner Reisegruppe etwas sehr komisches wiederfahren. Es gab in einer Grabkammer 2 Gräber mit der, laut dem Reiseführer, Aufschrift "Joseph Abdhulla Muschler" und "Adam Elhussein". Jetzt kommt das verrückte: Beide Gräber waren geöffnet und die Mumifizierten Leichen fehlten. Der Reiseführer war komplett außer Rand und Band und anscheinend gehörte das auch nicht zu der Tour. Kurz darauf konnte man komische Geräusche aus dem Schatten hören und Brauner Dickflüssige Flüssigkeit lief über den ganzen Boden. Anscheinend haben die Mumien Sprühdünnschiss gehabt. Kurz darauf kamen die Mumien in unsere Richtung und wir traten einen Schritt zurück. Aber dann legten sich die Mumien einfach wieder "schlafen" und wir konnten unsere Tour beenden.

ZILL NIAZI: Petrified Forest Protected Area is on the outskirts of New Cairo towards North-east. The closest landmark to it is the German University Cairo. It is right opposite of the campus towards east.Fossilized stumps of trees are placed at certain points. And like any other place in Egypt where they remotely suspect people can learn something or enjoy themselves, it has a ticket to it. There's nothing much inside to see except for a few stumps and pathways. A one-time visit on a day when you'd be feeling suicidal otherwise.

Das Gelände ist sehr groß und es sind Wanderungen von ca. 6 km möglich. Zu sehen sind versteinerte Baumstämme und Äste eines ehemaligen Mangrovenwalds. Sehr beeindruckend! Es gibt Sonnenschutzzelte, Erklärungstafeln und Mülleimer. Schöne kleine Mini-Klippen lassen Abenteuerfeeling aufkommen.

Forest Handford: The entrance is off of Ain Al Sokhna road. I went today (on a Friday) not knowing it was closed. They don't have a website. Turns out they are open all other days. I'm not sure what times they are open, they just said 5 hours. The staff (who all wear Falcon uniforms) were very friendly. They let me look around, despite being closed. I am rating it low because there isn't much to see. I took a Careem there and had the driver wait until I finished because it is far from areas with transportation. If you go you should really be into wood. That's about all you will see in the desert. I'm glad I visited. I didn't pay anything, so I don't know if their is an admission charge.

Yasser Alshahed: The park is wonderful place in term of greenery scenes and design, but this review is more of a complaint for 2 things: the toilets in the park are out of service for long time now, it would be a downside if the mall management decided to shut down forever or just unable to fix! Second, the nearest toilet to Gate 15 is sometimes locked till 9:30 am, given that it is the nearest toilet to 3 restaurants serving breakfast, forcing the visitor to scout the mall looking for other operating toilet. It shouldn't be a difficult task to ensure the facilities are operating on time. Or to add hint on the toilet door with the operating hours and the nearest operating toilet. I am frequent visitor to the park, and I am looking to edit this rating soon, once these issues get fixed.
