I read many books there, especially an illustrated encyclopedia about World War II..It has a huge amount of international books and encyclopedias. eslam ali: The library helped me a lot in preparing me for my master's research in 2004 when it was in Tahrir, but I do not know the reason for changing the laws. The library was open to us as researchers from abroad all days of the week, so it was the largest community service provided by the university to Egypt. The library works the rest of the days until ten.This is in addition to the fact that our internet network is different from the network of university students, which is what we do not know from the American University, which has always been a beacon of knowledge and provided great services to the Egyptian society.I hope to reconsider these laws. If it is natural for society to have social differences that allow a class of it to acquire knowledge and join the American University, then the university must reduce these differences as much as possible, even if it is at the level of scientific research for researchers from abroad.We are always accustomed to change for the better and forward, not backward. Ian Harris: Nice store and grounds of you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Wander around the beautiful albeit not cheap books, mostly (all?) in English and covering a bit of everything.We were lucky and there was -20% or so on purchases, and you can pay with credit card.
Christian Schubert: I live in Cairo, and since 2018 this store had always stood out as one of the very (!) few interesting bookstores in Cairo. Not anymore. It has become quite boring, the staff seems unprofessional. Asking for the catalogue, for instance, is asking too much! Cannot recommend this place anymore, and I say this as a fan of AUC Press itself!

Elghaly: It has Wi-Fi, but with a subscription, all kinds of books are available, and books for children are available on the second floor. Pommes_ Gamer: Ich war mit einem Reiseführer dort, und die Geschichte/antike Architektur hat mich echt fasziniert. Jedoch ist meiner Reisegruppe etwas sehr komisches wiederfahren. Es gab in einer Grabkammer 2 Gräber mit der, laut dem Reiseführer, Aufschrift "Joseph Abdhulla Muschler" und "Adam Elhussein". Jetzt kommt das verrückte: Beide Gräber waren geöffnet und die Mumifizierten Leichen fehlten. Der Reiseführer war komplett außer Rand und Band und anscheinend gehörte das auch nicht zu der Tour. Kurz darauf konnte man komische Geräusche aus dem Schatten hören und Brauner Dickflüssige Flüssigkeit lief über den ganzen Boden. Anscheinend haben die Mumien Sprühdünnschiss gehabt. Kurz darauf kamen die Mumien in unsere Richtung und wir traten einen Schritt zurück. Aber dann legten sich die Mumien einfach wieder "schlafen" und wir konnten unsere Tour beenden.
