The complimentary gulab jamun did not even come with the sauce… What a disappointment. Was looking forward to this because of the reviews, but clearly they have an issue with consistency. Beware.

Jano Sainz: Muy buen restaurante de comida hindú en el que acabamos después de callejear por El Cairo. La calidad es destacable al igual que las cantidades de los “platos” de arroz. Si te gusta el picante debes acudir seguro. A parte, el precio al cambio es increíble, dado que 6 personas salimos a 15€ la pareja y sobraron algunos platos. Un detalle fue que los postres nos los sacaron sin haberlos pedido y nos invitaron. Lógicamente y aunque nosotros no caímos, lo venden ninguna bebida alcohólica.

Tuyen Le: Ein schönes Restaurant innerhalb des Hilton Heliopolis. Leider gibt es heute keine Klavier Musik oder ich bin zu spät gekommen. Dafür ist aber in der Bar nebenan Livemusik. Kemo Kems: We were in need for a good Indian meal and (to our best luck), were recommended to pay this restaurant a visit. The restaurant’s decoration may seem to be outdated but it reflects a typical Indian atmosphere. We were well received by the staff. We made a selective four orders out of the very Indian multi-choice menu. To our surprise .. everything and every plate was so good, so tasty, and so Indian that we could not stop eating. The flavors take you directly to New Delhi or Mumbai. The deserts were even better than the entree and the main course. Swadhapriya Sarma: During my week long stay in Egypt we hadn’t tried Indian food restaurant so decided to visit this Maharaja Restaurant which was also near our stay in Cairo. We found the food in the restaurant very very tasty so we even packed some food for the night as well. The restaurant provides vegetarian food, even they prepare Saatwik ( without onion & garlic ) food. To my surprise the owner of the restaurant chain was a Syrian but his chefs are Indians. We were so happy that we spent long 2-3 hrs in the restaurants tasting many dishes.Much recommended for Indian food in Cairo.

Prerit Jain: Good place to get Indian food and vegetarian options. Ambience is also okay and cosy. They have two flooelrs so good sitting space however they don't have sufficient staff to handle many customers.If you go there on peak time then you may have to wait for half an hour to get a bread to eat.We were in the middle of our eating and we ordered bread but he told me that it will take 20 minutes to get the bread. We had two choices, either to wait 20 minutes ro finish food or stop eating in between.Taste of the food ia good and food is comparatively cheaper than other indian restaurant.Coconut ice cream was complimentary and that was tasty.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options and taste was good.

The service is friendly and the restaurant is very clean.I lived here from 2009-2014 and this was one of my “go to” restaurants. I was so pleased to see that the restaurant is still under the same ownership - a testament to their quality and good food.There are a couple of comments questioning the authenticity of the food. India is a large country with many regions and food styles. Here you can find authentic northern Indian cuisine.The table is set with peppers, tamarind sauce, and mint chutney sauce, so you can customize your meal with a variety of spices or flavors.
