azores: Cozy, comfortable room in an old decrepit looking building 😂 if you ignore the facade and dont mind the 5 flight of stairs of old Cairo building that feels like 8 normal height storeys, you’ll enjoy this value for money place. Very hard to find especially at night. Thanks to someone random who posted the picture on here that I managed to find it! I walked in for a night because other hostels cancelled my bookings due to overbooking on Agoda. I went to this place and got a room for two at 300EGP/night cash. Will consider this place if Im back in Cairo.

Min Cheng: The location is great. The higher floors had views to the Nile River. But check-in took more than an hour at 7pm. Their reason was that the rooms had not been cleaned yet. My room, #529, was in need of repairs. Many outlets did not work properly. There was no hair dryer in the room. Only half of the water would go up through shower head. The toilet leaked all night. Breakfast food was not fresh. The barley porridge had spoiled milk smell. The cut fruit tasted like it was the leftover from the previous day.I would not recommend this hotel.

Reclamos al hotel al día siguiente mostrándole las fotografías, por las condiciones en las que nos tienen y no les importa el cliente. Lo único que nos ofrecen es pagar más dinero (75€ por noche y habitación) para tener una habitación en condiciones. Después de haber pagado ya una gran cantidad de dinero a Soltour.Nos encontramos en la planta séptima en una habitación de los años sesenta, ruido insoportable a todas horas del tráfico, olor a tabaco en la habitación, ducha que no funciona, suciedad, moho, camas rotas, mucho frío, sin mantas … no son condiciones de tener alojados a los clientes en un Hotel Hilton.No recomiendo a nadie que se aloje en este hotel ni que reserve ningún viaje con la empresa Soltour.Es muy posible que se ponga enfermo durante su viaje por Egipto como nuestro caso, un crucero por el Nilo con estancia en El Cairo Hotel Ramses Hilton organizado por la empresa Soltour.No malgasten su dinero en este hotel, cuesta mucho esfuerzo ganarlo para luego terminar viendo situaciones desagradables durante sus vacaciones.Esto no son vacaciones!Actualizo cometario por la respuesta del hotel, no nos cambio el hotel por voluntad propia las habitaciones. TOM PHELAN: The hotel is impeccably clean. The staff are friendly and always on hand to assist. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels whilst working for my company and this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The executive lounge is fantastic. The breakfasts and dinner choices are great and they change the dinner options everyday which is great as I stayed for 16 nights. I used the gym a few times and it's fantastic. It has weights, running machines etc. There is a lovely outdoor pool also. Honestly, I can't fault the hotel, Stay if you can, you won't regret it.

C E: We stayed in the room 258 and after two nights I have to go straight to the physiotherapist because I can’t move my back. The bed and pillows that used to be the jewel of any Marriott Hotel is here the worst nightmare. The mattress is old and it is in a terrible shape. The bathroom looked very old and it’s not well maintained. Also, the view from our room was really ugly and we weren’t allowed to use the terrace as they were painting the front of building. The staff is very nice and professional.

くまスキー: わかりずらい場所でした。通りから路地を曲がった所に入口があります。ビル自体は通りに面してます。KFCとか色々ファースフードが入っている手前の角を曲がって下さい。分からなければその辺のおじさんに聞けば教えてくれます。ビルの3階、4階部分を利用したホテルです、外観は古いままで入口から階段を上がって行きますが途中の階のフロアーは会社が入っていてちょっと不気味な感じがしますがそのまま上へ上がっていくとホテル部分の階から見違えるほどの綺麗さになり安心します。受付の娘も若いエジプシャンでとてもキュート。中はとても綺麗にリフォームされています。部屋も綺麗で天井も高く私の部屋は道路に面したテラス付き最上階でカイロも街並みの中に居る雰囲気がとても心地良く感じました。カイロの街中でこの金額で改装したばかりの部屋なのでエジプトでは1番コスパいい宿でした。

Vilma Lozano: Great location, very busy street.Friendly and helpful staff.The entrance is hard to find (it’s on a side) so just ask someone that work near there.The elevator doesn’t work, so you’ll need to use the stairs, it’s 4 levels (not so bad if you’re not carrying a lot of luggage).Be sure to doble check if you actually have hot water in the room before taking a shower.They have heathers in the rooms but ours didn’t worked.They don’t have a restaurant inside the hotel but there’s plenty of options on the street.

This hotel is the worst Cairo experience ever - I lost my valuable necklace here in my room because one of them he opened the door when I was sleeping and when I asked him who are you he said I’m a housekeeper and this place never apologized or took responsibility, noisiness everywhere No welcome at all and they are laying all the time they said to me there’s breakfast in the room and when I went to the reception to ask about how can I’ve my breakfast she said we don’t have I’m sorry and it was terribly.This just should not happen anymore in Egypt and it is embarrassing. Anastasia Diakou: Needs a bit more love.Negatives: The toilet seat was dirty 🤢🤢. The water from the shower was almost not draining, as a result everytime someone showered the bathroom was flooding and water almost run into the room. There is no heating, so during winter the room is freezing cold. There is no soundproofing so it's impossible to sleep without earplugs due to the constant car horn sound from the street. They were painting the hallway, so there was a very strong paint smell even in the room.Positives: very comfortable bed, friendly staff and great location.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und stets bemüht.Leider ist der Eingang des Hauses nicht so einladend und das Hotel ist in der 3.Etage, der Fahrstuhl nicht mehr in Betrieb. Für ältere Menschen oder Menschen mit Behinderungen ist es sehr schwer zu erreichen. Es gab keinen Kühlschrank und Tresor im Zimmer. Trotz allem war ich positiv überrascht für diesen Preis und würde es jederzeit wieder buchen.
Aodhán Patterson: This hotel is located in a filthy run down building on the 3rd floor and lift was not working. The rooms were another floor up. Rooms are so basic, with no towels, toilet paper provided and no hot water. The WiFi didn't work and the staff were incredibly rude and aggressive when confronted. Especially the guy Moustafa. Had to leave and find a better hotel. Please please avoid this dump.They even have staff writing good reviews here. Don't be fooled, this place is awful

Stephen Brookes: I have stayed at many budget priced Downtown Cairo hotels. Most of which are pretty shabby.This one has had some extensive renovations. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, modern bathroom, new mattresses, bedlinen and towels, and even a fridge. The whole place is very clean. Good value for money. Two little improvements I would like to see. The elevator is not working, so you need to be fit to climb stairs to the 3rd or 4th floor and the wifi was a bit weak.In conclusion. If you just want a nice, clean, basic hotel this is a good choice.Rooms: Clean and pleasant.Nearby activities: Museum, interesting cafes, restaurants and historic buildings. Lots of shops. A brisk walk or short taxi ride to Zamalek. Not far from Heliopolis.Safety: I have never felt unsafe in Cairo. This city centre is particularly safe. I lived in Cairo for 2 years and never had any issues.Walkability: It's very safe in downtown although you will get a bit jostled by traders you can just smile and walk past.Everthing is happening in walking distance.
