The founders of NASEEJ are fourth generation weavers. Their great grandfather, Saeed Mardini, fled his hometown Mardin (a town located on the outskirts of modern day Turkish Kurdistan), when he was just a teenager during World War I. He later settled in Cairo with is family where he found work in the textile industry.

A decade later, Saeed and his two eldest sons opened their very first textile mill in cairo 1948. The family name became synonymous with premium quality velvets, upholstery textiles and exceptional design. As the years went by, each of Saeed’s sons branched out to build his own brand, turning “Mardini” into a household name in the textile industry.

NASEEJ currently showcases its collections exclusively at its showrooms in Egypt. The brands first showroom was opened in 2016 on El Ryad st. in Mohandisin, the second branch opened in 2020 in Arabella Plaza mall in New Cairo, and NASEEJ’s latest showroom opened in Arkan Plaza Extension, Al Shiekh Zayed in November 2021. Also, a selection of the brand’s collections is also showcased at Motif in Kafr Abdo Alexandria.
