S. T: Good luck even trying to get a response from them. I don’t know how others managed to do it, but talking to them almost made me tear my hair out. It’s as if I had to beg for replies or ask them question by question. There was no initiative on their part, and all I got were one word answers. Imagine having to plan a 2-week trip for a group of 4 while needing to coax answers out of a travel agency. I had to dig for answers to the simplest questions from them!!!Example inquiry:Me: “do you do tours to the black and white desert?”Tailormade: “yes”—END OF EMAIL!!!—What about the details of the desert? How much will it cost? I had to ask them question by question to get these answers!!!Simply the most unpleasant and frustrating experience from a travel agency and would never want to hand over a single cent to them. Just plain rude and unprofessional.

DeAnna Bastin: I am giving Egypt Tailor Made 3 stars because while they got me from Aswan to Luxor safely, they made a couple of mistakes along the way and then lied about it.I booked with Egypt Tailor Made because I saw on a blog they had a tour that stopped at Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna. None of the other companies stopped at Esna, so I paid the higher price with them to book this tour.They showed up 40 minutes late for pick-up the day of the tour, in an unmarked vehicle. As a woman travelling solo, I was concerned about getting into a random car but luckily the front desk of the guest house I was staying at was able to confirm they were who I was travelling with that day.We stopped at Kom Omdo and Edfu which were fantastic. Kom Omdo was especially wonderful and I really appreciated that we got there after the Nile Cruise boats so we had most of the place to ourselves.However, we skipped the temple of Esna. At 4:15pm, the driver turns to me and says "Welcome to Luxor!" I tried to ask him about Esna, but he didn't understand so I texted and emailed with Egypt Tailor Made. They apologized that we didn't have time to visit and said it was due to the late driver and that the temple closed at 5pm. They did offer me a chance to go back the next day or a felucca ride, but I had tours booked for all 3 days I was in Luxor so I was not able to take them up on either offer.The part that bothered me however is the blatant lie. Since the temple is an hour away, that means we would have been there around 3pm which would have been more than enough time for a stop. The driver simply forgot. We all make mistakes and are human, but I wish they could have been honest instead of trying to lie to cover up their mistakes. I should also mention that when I pointed this out to them both in email and over Whatsapp that they stopped responding to me.

Gina Luxon: From the moment I emailed Egypt Tailor Made tours my Husband & I felt confident booking with them. Their english is amazing. Their communication is amazing and they are amazing at tailoring tours to what we desired. Their price was also very reasonable for a private tour guide and driver. We booked this special tour as part of our honeymoon and our tour guide was Mrs. Heba and she was amazing! Her knowledge was incredible, we learnt so much, her english was perfect and we really enjoyed our time with her over the 2 days we spent exploring Cairo. She was also a fantastic photographer, which unfortunately we got our phone stolen and lost nearly all photos and videos Mrs. Heba had captured of us. We are still devastated however at least she gave us incredible memories to remember. She was so fabulous to even alter our scheduled plans when we wanted to get ancient jewellery made. She was always on time and made sure we saw everything we wanted to visit. The driver was amazing and always made us feel safe. Our 2 day tour was Pyramids, Paper Museum and Egyptian Museum. Second day was Islamic Cairo. We are so happy with our choice in booking with this company. We also booked with them to visit Abu Simbel from Aswan and the comfort of the car was perfect!

All needs, queries, etc were dealt eith or replied to within minutes.The guides and drivers were always punctual.Safe driving, in depth knowledge of routes, ensure a comfortable trip.The Guides Manar, Ayesha, Sarah, Rabbi and Mohammad all were extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in clarity. We visited Saqqara, Memphis, Dahshur, Giza pyramids, Egyptian museum, Old Coptic Cairo & the citadel with them. They also provided a drop off at the airport at the end of the second day of tours, which was very helpful.Our guide was Heba and she was incredible! Heba was friendly, fun, knowledgable and able to answer all of our questions. We had a number of different guides across Wgypt but Heba was unique because she took so many photos of us and encouraged us to take photos in particular spots and do certain poses that we wouldn’t otherwise have done. The end result was that we had a brilliant collection of photos!The driver during the tours was also brilliant giving tips on restaurants in Cairo and he was a very safe driver!

Their guides (Mrs Heba, Mohammad Soliman and Omar Ismail) are very knowledgeable. They always arrived on time and were flexible with change in itinerary. Their buses were very clean and it is very important to us during this Covid time.One of our tour party member got injured on day one and they provided wheel chair and even found doctors immediately. I especially loved our tour guide Heba in Cairo. I was so glad to have them plan everything out and to assist us along the way. We felt completely safe and welcome in Egypt! We did a nine day trip with Egypt Tailor Made. We stayed in phenomenal hotels such as the Old Aswan Cataract-it was breathtaking. The guides were charming, smart and so welcoming. Frédérick B.: ***Attention aux frais cachés!***Nous avons trouvé cette compagnie côtée #1 sur TripAdvisor. Ma copine et moi avions de grandes attentes vu tous les avis positifs. On a pris le tour d'une journée, incluant les "Pyramides, Musée égyptien, et souk" pour 60$US par personne. À savoir, lorsque j'ai fais le paiement en ligne, leur site web n'avait pas l'air sécurisé avec le logo du cadenas habituel. J'hésitais à réserver. La guide et le chauffeur étaient à l'heure à l'hôtel pour le pick-up. Cependant, nie eux ne la voiture n'étaient identifiés avec le nom de la compagnie. Premier arrêt, les pyramides. Est-ce que les explications / informations de la guide nous on aidés à mieux comprendre? Non, pas vraiment. Seule utilité, elle connaissait tous les bons coins pour la prise des photos. Par la suite, elle nous dit plusieurs fois que le tour de chameau est inclut dans notre forfait, bien que nous nous en doutions. On fait donc le tour, en au moment d'embarquer dans la voiture pour la prochaine visite, elle nous annonce qu'elle s'est trompée et qu'il faudrait payer 200£EG chacun. Quelle surprise ! Puis, on nous amène dans un centre de papyrus pour touristes ("3 pyramids papyrus institute"), où l'on doit payer la balance du tour à un individu n'ayant aucune identification, assis à un bureau dans le magasin. Je demande un reçu à la guide, auquel elle me répond qu'il n'y a aucun problèmes, tout est sécuritaire et qu'il n'y en aurait pas de reçu. Visite du souk, très moyen. L'heure du lunch approche, on se rend dans un restaurant tex-mex/grill ("Onion Rings)"pour touristes/groupes, propre mais nourriture simple, sans plus. Dernier arrêt, le musée égyptien. On se sent presser de visiter les quelques artefacts/momies; ma copine voulant visiter une salle dans le fond à l'étage, elle lui répond que c'est fermée au public. Ayant vu des gens passés, on insiste pour y jeter un œil. Heureusement, car c'était bien ouvert et nous y avons vues certaines des plus belles pièces du musée. Résultat, moins d'une heure au musée. Walid, le propriétaire, nous a parlé au téléphone après la fin de la visite du musée. Sur le coup, on été enjoués de notre journée, mais après déduction, nous avons analysés en profondeur pour réaliser qu'on était pas du tout époustouflés de cette expérience. Seuls souvenirs, les belles photos. En conclusion, avons nous été malchanceux ou il y auraient plusieurs faux avis sur TripAdvisor ? Comment une compagnie comme celle-ci puisse se retrouver #1 avec une expérience telle que la notre ? Une compagnie sous-contractante que l'on a eu à la place de la bonne ? On repart avec un goût amer de s'être fait avoir, le seul point positif étant le transport aux différents lieux et encore, on aurait très bien pu le faire en Uber pour moins cher.3/5 expérimenté en novembre 2018

Their drivers are safe and arrive on time. They provide a guide to meet you at Cairo airport and take you through the visa and customs. Their itinerary of all the temples is comprehensive and excellent.
